Travis Whitfill, MPH

Travis Whitfill has served as a member of our board of directors since May 2018. Mr. Whitfill is a co-founder and has served in various roles at Azitra, Inc., a publicly-traded a clinical-stage precision dermatology company, including Chief Operating Officer since June 2023, Executive Director of Advanced Technology since September 2019 and Chief Scientific Officer from January 2014 to September 2019. He also served as a partner at Bios Equity Partners, LP, a biotechnology-focused venture capital firm, from October 2015 to June 2023 and as a Senior Analyst at Bios Research from September 2014 to June 2023.  Mr. Whitfill has also served as an associate professor adjunct since March 2022 and an associate research scientist from July 2016 to March 2022 with appointments in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Yale University. Mr. Whitfill has led numerous grant-funded projects, holds several patents and has co-authored over 30 publications. Mr. Whitfill received a B.S. from Dallas Baptist University and an MPH from Yale University.
