Immunotherapies based on T cells are becoming the leading treatment for cancer
The immune system is incredibly complex with many different types of cells and many different molecules that regulate immune responses. One important cell type, known as gamma delta T cells, is thought to play a key role in cancer immunity but the mechanisms underlying their response to cancer are unclear.
In 2014 we became the first to develop this cell therapy. Our unique approach is to combine conventional therapy of surgical and radiation and chemotherapy to overaly immunotherapy that can remain functional.
Our goals are to educate patients and lead the way with our novel approach that targets a mechanism that is conserved in all of our biology and hopefully will eradicate all tumors. We aim to bring improved patient outcomes to undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplantation and to demonstrate the safety of T cells in the allogeneic setting.
